Postdoctoral Professional Development Workshop Series

The Postdoctoral Professional Development Workshop Series and networking opportunities are offered by the Office for Faculty Affairs and the Division of Research and Innovation.  

The year-long workshop for 2024-2025 is held the first Tuesday of every month from 3 - 4:30 p.m. The workshop series will support attendees in creating an individual development plan, provide career development guidance and cover topics such as balancing teaching and research, writing grant proposals, effective teaching practices, creating a competitive CV, applying and interviewing for jobs, and more. The workshop will utilize the acclaimed book The Professor is In: The Essential Guide to Turning Your Ph.D. Into a Job as its framework.

To empower and support the professional and personal success for postdoctoral candidates.

What the Program Provides

The workshop series uses best practice approaches to provide insight and support in research, teaching, grant writing, mentoring, and preparing for the academy or industry.
