Travel Assistance Program

As part of the Provost's commitment to supporting faculty development and enhancement, all full-time faculty are eligible to apply for travel assistance if they are presenting original research at a professional conference or creative activity at an exhibition, performance, or other related professional venue.

Program

Applicants may receive up to $1,000 of travel assistance to present original research or creative activity where they have been selected to present as a primary investigator, artist, or performer.

The Travel Assistance program has two funding cycles annually: a call for applications in the fall and one in the spring.

Criteria for Selection

Applicants must:

  • Be accepted or invited to a professional conference, exhibition, or performance
  • Be 100% appointed in a tenure-track, tenured, or non-tenure track position (including 100% appointed instructors and lecturers)
  • Be primary author, presenter, artist or performer

International conference travel will require additional justification.

Preference will be given to those who are able to secure any matching funds from their department or college and have not been funded in the last calendar year.  Applicants should note dept or college contribution in their application and not have large balances in their start-up and RIF accounts.

Applications are now closed. The next call will be announced in September.
